Back Up Your Double- Or Single-Rope Rappel

Petzl’S Shunt Is Designed As A Backup Brake For Rappelling As Well As Occasional Self-Belays, Top Rope Belays And Ascending. Used Below The Rappel Device, It Locks Onto The Rope As Soon As You Release It And Follows Your Descent When You Press On It. It Can Also Be Used As An Ascender, Much Like A Prusik Knot.
